Ye Olde Times

So one of the things I look forward to attending each and every year is the Pittsburgh Renaissance Fair. Truly, it’s an experience and a very fun one. Not much changes over the year, but that’s okay. It’s still just as fun. You could see the same shows every year and the same vendors in the same places, but it’s really a blast every year. The people are all so fun there. It’s a party, to say the least. And I mean they go all out. You basically walk into this little town that they built, and you have all kinds of different vendors around, including weapons, leather items, pewter trinkets, jewelry, handmade soaps and teas, archery equipment, etc. They even have a jousting show every few hours, complete with a box in which royalty sits. They have other shows too: I saw bellydancers, there is a wench show, which is really funny, and of course musicians everywhere. They have tons of skill games too. Ones where you can practice your archery or knife throwing, even a shuffleboard game played with beer mugs. It’s a blast, especially if you can appreciate it all. I apologize for the especially crappy quality, but I was trying not to get yelled at or called out for taking pictures in case I wasn’t supposed to:

ImageThat there is Skid Mark, he’s the homeless man that likes to bug all the patrons every year. If you’re interested, you can adopt one of his illegitimate children!
